Torre Zen was built in 2002 and it's an office building located in the heart of Parque das Nações in Lisbon. Our client challenged us to do a makeover in all the common areas of the building in order to improve and modernize the entrance and therefore make it a powerful welcome card. The building's name - Zen, immediately gave us the will to do a well receive of the users of the facilities, providing quiet and inner contemplation moments. In order to modernize the entry without taking it's identity, we were inspired on the existing wooden slatted, giving it a different context. Surfaces in lacquered glass, combined with the oak slatted result in a calm and welcoming environment. This environment is completed with 2 olive trees that give the space a green and zen feeling. Suspended ceilings in slatted wooden and a suspended lighting were included to give some continuity and acoustic comfort.
